Ground Force 5

Offensive Line Academy

What we believe

Specialized offensive line training is as rare as watching offensive line highlights on Sports Center. There are very little resources or opportunities available that offer specialized development for offensive linemen, which is one of the most difficult positions to develop. Offensive Line play requires many different skills and techniques that involve footwork, coordination, balance, speed, agility, strength and power. The combination of all these different variables is necessary for individual, group and team success.

Ground Force 5 offers specialized training for offensive linemen. With experienced coaches who are members of this fraternity of offensive linemen as former players and current coaches, we focus on the development of skills and techniques utilized in run blocking and pass protection schemes. Our goal is to provide the offensive linemen of tomorrow the skills and knowledge for individual offensive linemen success, group offensive line success and overall team success today.

Growing up as football fans we have all played in the streets, fields or anywhere we could get together with friends. We have dreamed, visualized and practiced highlight catches, spectacular runs, the game winning touch down pass, stuffing a running back for no gain, sacking the quarterback, or running an interception back for a touchdown. These are all situations we may have all fantasized about as kids waiting for that first opportunity playing organized youth football to make it a reality. Those of us that have had our bodies grow larger than others, maybe not as fast, athletic or talented as others were put into a group nobody fantasized about, Offensive Linemen. There is little glory, glamour and recognition playing offensive line. Efforts are often overlooked and underappreciated and THAT”S THE WAY WE WANT IT. This is all a part of  “Living Life on the Line”, and what makes this group of warriors special. Sure, all those fantasies about being the star quarterback, running back or wide reciever have all the glory. None of these highlight real spectacular plays are even possible without the efforts of the warriors battling in the trenches. As offensive linemen we are a fraternity of brothers that take pride doing all the dirty work that often goes unnoticed. A special bond is formed between fellow warriors of the trenches because we know that we are the engine that makes the car run. We are the unsung heroes. We make it happen. We put the names in the newspapers.

“There’s no glamour in being an offensive lineman. But you know when you’ve done your job, and your teammates and opponents know it too. Maybe there’s no tougher job than being a lineman. I don’t know. But there aren’t any tougher players on the field than the lineman”.
